Still Sewing - Sewing up a Storm

Mom, you are so amazing. You are still sewing. Sure you need a little more help, but that's okay. You're still doing it. You are an example of NEVER GIVE UP.

We sewed up a storm today. Debbie and Sandy think you are going to make a quilter out of me yet. You might.

You are remarkable. I love you lots.

Sewing Machine

I told mom she was a sewing machine. She was! Dad had taken her to JoAnne's and had bought a whole bunch of new material. Mom asked Bill to cut (he cut the whole bag) and I helped her by getting squares ready and cutting them apart when she was done. By the time Sandy came over we had piles of squares. We all left for a mid-afternoon walk and Mom wanted to sew some more when we got home! I was tired and mom was still going strong. We thank God she is still sewing.

It Takes A Village

I'll never be able to thank you all for your support.

Mom is still sewing -- it's astounding and an answer to prayer. It is so important to her. We are so grateful this prayer continues to be answered.

Her ability to sew, as you can imagine, has been greatly diminished and continues to decline. Many times we've been sure she's completed her last quilt, and then she starts another one. Simply amazing.

Mom's wonderful friends have been helping her quilt for a number of years. The entire family has come on board and has been contributing to her efforts, committed to helping her continue with her passion. And now I think she has successfully taught her caregivers to help her quilt too.

It takes a village to keep Dar sewing; but, she's still going strong.

Thanks again for being part Dar's Team -- for being part of our village. Your continual encouragement and prayers keep us going.

God bless,
