Chris and I had Martin Luther King Day off and we went to Grandma’s house for a visit. It’s always special to spend a weekday with my mom since I don’t get a chance to do that very often. I thought it was nice that Chris wanted to spend his day off with his grandma.
I brought a gift with me. My friend Kathy crocheted a prayer shawl for her. When I walked in the door I had laid the box aside to give her a hug. Being glad to see her I had momentarily forgotten the box. Mom pointed to the box. I think she knew it was a gift and wanted to see what it was!
It was a beautiful prayer shawl – such a precious and thoughtful gift. God is good to send so many angels to us in our time of need.
Chris and I had a lovely afternoon with my mom. The fireplace was warm and the pets snuggled by the fire with us.
