Mom and I had such a nice day on Monday -- Mom's birthday. We spent the afternoon together. i love taking off work and being with her during the week. I don't get to do it very often, so it's always a treat.
When I got there at noon Mom had her party hat on already. Laden with gifts from a couple of friends (thank you Jacquie and Ann), mom sprang into action by opening the gifts first thing. The spring afternoon started off with a walk. Joined by Stephanie, Becky, and Annie, we took a nice long spring walk. It was good to be out and about.
One of our favorite things to do in the afternoon together is watch Dr. Phil and Oprah, which we did. We listened the Mary Beth and Mark David Williams CD from Ann and read the book from Jacquie. We hung out. It was nice.
At six some of my mom's friends came over and surprised her for her birthday. It was a good day. Happy Birthday, Mom.
